Callaway Corvette C4 1987

Rare in the States - Ultra Rare in the UK!

A true Supercar - even on todays roads and relativly cheap to run compared to the usual Italan, German, Japanese exotica. This is also known as the RPO B2K model. 1st year production model #134/184 produced and one of the few with the NACA bonnet ducts - ordered on 01/05/1987 for New Jersey, New York. Fitted with the full Callaway Twin Turbo package ($20,000!), also fitted with the Z51 Factory performace ($ ????) package and interior upgrade ($ ???). The genuine Callaway DYMAG lightweight magnesium wheels were a later purchase - costing over £1200 (USA price was $4000+) - they look narrow from the outside but are in fact very wide rims.

Took us a very long time long time to aquire this (the owner bought it in 1999 from Claremont and was his pride and joy) and now we have it something else "even more interesting" has become available (murphys law!) so this one has to go!! are YOU going to be it's new LUCKY OWNER...?

Just completed a 480 mile journey and at 55mph returned an astonishing 26.9 mpg!!! and 23.6 at 70 mph!!! There are factual consumption figures based on Tank to Tank fill up's - the cars computer was reading 23.6 mpg and we found this and the fuel gauge to be very accurate. But you don't buy one of these for it's fuel economy - do you? This is a manual gearbox (Super T-10 BW) 4-speed with 3 Overdrive gears - basically stick it in 4th - O/drive on - get to 60mph and punch it - it's like a Phantom jet - just keeps going...and going....and going......

Massive amount of history including the original Build order sheet from Callaway and signed hand book by Mr Callaway himself. Previously owned by Eurovettes UK.

Parts: 4 x new tyres fitted in 2010 and seen little use since. Currently having some interior upgrading hopefully to include New: Carpets, plastic trim panels, New weatherseals all round. Gearbox linkage just upgraded with steel bushes etc. Service including oil, filter, drive belt, gearbox oil. Exterior requires nothing.
